Celestial Sesonings Tea - $1/box!

When I was at Safeway doing all of my shopping last week, I noticed that they have Celestial Seasonings tea on sale for $2 each, it is an unadvertised sale.  Pair that with the $1/1 from the 1/10 or 2/21 SS and get it for $1/box.  That is a pretty good price for this tea.

Last year I was able to score some free at King Soopers when they marked them on sale 10/$10 but I haven't seen that sale since then and I've been watching these since I got my first coupons in January.  I love their Decaf Green Tea!!

30% off everything at Gap, Old Navy & Banana Republic

Now through Sunday the 21st, you can use the coupon here to get 30% off in-store at Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.  You can use this coupon multiple times too without having to print a new one.  If you use this coupon they will also donate 5% of your total to Teach for America.  You can get yourself some new stuff and help out a good cause!

Also, Old Navy's item of the week are the super cute smocked dresses pictured above for only $8.  With the 30% off coupon, these will only be $5.60!  These are a little short for me for a regular dress, but I love them with the top part rolled down as skirts or as Hip2Save suggests as a swimsuit cover up - what a great idea and way cheaper than the actual swimsuit cover ups that are this same style.  They are also cute with leggings underneath and super easy to sew on some spaghetti straps if you are like me and not brave enough to go strapless - I'm sure that most of the world doesn't want to see what I have to offer when my little ones come running up to me and tug on my clothes!

Have fun shopping and helping out a good cause!

(Thanks, Hip2Save & SD!)

$3.00 Huggies printable coupon!

Hurry over here to print out a $3/1 any Huggies diapers coupon.  These coupons tend to reach their print limit quickly so print it out now and save for a good sale.  This is a pretty high value coupon and those of you with kiddos in diapers know how expensive they are!

The Princess & the Frog Movie Deal...

The Princess & the Frog movie was released on DVD this week and Target has the Blu-Ray combo pack on sale for $26.99 and it comes with a free Princess Tiana purse.  Use the $10/1 coupon here (make sure you get the one for the US and I believe this coupon is only valid through 3/21).  There are 2 rebates you can submit for after purchasing and both allow for photo copies of the receipt!

For the rebate you need to:

Buy 2 boxes of Band-Aids and The Princess and The Frog on Blu-Ray or DVD and get a $5 rebate by mail. You can download the form here. Rebate has to be submitted by June 30th.

Buy any roll of FrogTape Multi-Surface (24mm, 36mm, or 48mm) painters tape and The Princess and The Frog on Blu-Ray or DVD and get $5 rebate by mail. You can download that form here. Rebate needs to be submitted by May 31st. You can find these painting tapes at any home improvement store.

I'm sure there are some coupons for Band-Aids to make this even better!

This would make such a fun Easter basket stuffer for the little girls in your life.

(Thanks, Couponing to Disney!)

My Walgreens trip...

Just a boring update as to how I rolled my RRs.  I had 2 $2 RRs expiring on Sunday so I used them to buy the Colgate toothpaste that is FREE or better than free after RRs this week.  I had to get 2 fillers since I was using 2 RRs and a manufacturer coupon and you need as many items as coupons at Walgreens.  I got 2, $.20 travel packs of tissue and my total was less than $1 and I now have another $4 RR for next time.

Are you shopping at Walgreens yet?  If so, are you finding ways to "roll" your RRs?

My last Safeway & King Soopers trips this week...

As promised I wanted to update you on my last big shopping trips for the great sales that were going on this past week.  I packed the little ones up and headed out to shop.  This is what I ended up with...

(Not Pictured: 1 Izze - I was thirsty, 1 can of black beans and 1 bag of salad - We ate them for dinner before I took this picture.)

What I got...
4 boxes of Kix
3 boxes Quaker Oat Squares
2 boxes Honey Bunches of Oats
1 box Raisin Bran
1 box Fruity Pebbles
1 box Cocoa Pebbles
22 boxes fruit snacks
6 bags Nature Valley Nut Clusters
4 bags Steamers Veggies
6 bags Chex Mix
6 bottles Marie's Salad Dressing
4 bags Salad Mix
3 boxes Barilla Whole Grain Pasta
2 packs of Mission Caseras Tortillas
2 Izze's
1 box Matzo Ball Soup (I didn't even have a coupon for this!)

Total Cost (drum roll please...) = $23.03!!!! That was without getting one of my buy 5 get $5 discounts, so my total should have been $5 lower at $18.03 and of that total over $3 was tax alone!  I saved a total of $178.50 off of regular retail so about 88%!  I also still have $7.50 in catalinas to use after buying all of this food.  Can you believe that?  I've been couponing a while and still was surprised when I saw these numbers.  These sales are a great example of how much you can save when you pair a sale with a coupon and also have some catalina promotions going along too!

The beautiful thing about getting all of this stuff is that I now have tons of stuff to donate to the food bank.  It is a great idea to pick up things that are free and set them aside for the food bank.  I do this all of the time with items my family doesn't eat or use that I can get for free.  It is a great way to be able to give something without having a huge out of pocket expense.

Did you have any great deals this past week?

Whole Foods One Day Sale...

Today only, Whole Foods has their 50 count value packs of Emergen-C on sale for $9.99, which is only $.20 per packet!  You can get Orange, Tangerine or Raspberry flavors and it is only available while supplies last.  This is the cheapest price I've seen anywhere and I love this stuff and plan to swing by today to pick up a box or two.  I drink some when my family is not feeling well or when I start to feel a little bit off to try to ward off any sickness that may be coming my way.  It is great to have on hand "just in case!"

My Safeway Shopping Trip Yesterday...

Here is what I got...
2 boxes of Fruity Pebbles - will be donated!
2 boxes of Honey Bunch of Oats
1 box Raisin Bran
5 boxes of Fruit Snacks
5 bags of Nature Valley Nut Clusters
5 bottles of Marie's dressing
2 boxes of Barilla Piccolini Pasta

Total Spent after coupons and instant discounts with their sales = $8.71.  Total saved = $64.83 or 89%!!  I also received $6.50 in catalinas good toward my next shopping trip.  I should have received $7.50 in catalinas but I bought the wrong Raisin Bran - see even us experienced couponers make mistakes!

Highlights of the trip...
FREE Marie's Dressings
FREE Barilla Piccolini Pasta
$.50 per bag Nut Clusters
Getting PAID to buy the fruit snacks.

In case you missed the fruit snack deal, if you buy 5 participating fruit snacks, you get a $3.50 catalina good on your next purchase.  The fruit snacks are on sale for $1 per box after the $5 instant discount when you buy 5.  I used 2, $.50/2 coupons that doubled, so I saved $2.  I spent $3 to get the 5 boxes and then got a $3.50 catalina.

The beautiful thing about this catalina is that it is good on your next shopping trip, not just good towards buying more of the same product, so you could buy milk or whatever your little heart desires with it (although it does exclude a few things like prescriptions).  You can do this deal over and over if you want to, just make sure you do in increments of 5 and in separate transactions!  Go here for the links to get the printable coupons for this deal.

I should be heading to King Soopers and back to Safeway to stock up on a few more things and I'll keep you posted as to how it goes!

Kix $1/1 Printable Coupon

Just go on over here to print a $1/1 Kix cereal coupon, the link is on the bottom right corner of the page.  This is a high value coupon that I rarely see.  Kix are also part of the buy 5 save $5 promotion at Safeway right now and I believe they are $2 after the discount, so paired with this coupon you will get it for $1 per box!  Don't forget to use your back button to print 2 copies.  My kids love Kix, so I was super excited to see this!

Sometimes I like to crush up Kix and use them in recipes in place of breadcrumbs, like for homemade chicken nuggets.  I also do this with Ritz Crackers and Cheerios to mix things up a bit.  There are many other things to do with cereal then just eating it in a bowl with milk!
