Welcome CW2 Daybreak Viewers!
Welcome! I wanted to recap what we talked about on the segment this morning to help you start slashing your grocery budget!
I think there are 3 big steps to really start saving money on your grocery bill.
Step 1 requires a change of thought and behavior in your shopping. Instead of deciding what you are going to have to eat and then going shopping for the items, I am challenging you to sit down with the weekly sales flyers of your local grocery store and plan your menu around what is on sale! Meal planning around store sales is the first step to saving money on your grocery bill! It may mean that you really want steak for dinner, but that chicken is on a great sale so you plan on eating chicken instead. See more information on Meal Planning here.
The second step to saving money on your grocery bill is to start using coupons. Pairing coupons with sales is a way to get items at their rock bottom prices, sometimes meaning you can get them for FREE or better than FREE! Using coupons doesn't have to be overwhelming or take up lots of your time. Head over here to learn how to start using coupons effectively to save the most money possible!
The final step to saving big at the grocery store is to stock up when prices are at rock bottom. Go here for more information on this critical step!
Once you've read through these posts, you are now ready to tackle the challenge of slashing your grocery budget! Since I've incorporated these strategies into how I shop, I've started saving an average of 65% from my grocery budget! That is money I now spend having fun. If you have questions after reading everything, please don't hesitate to contact me at thriftymomincolorado@gmail.com.

A couple of money making websites...
Many readers have expressed an interest in wanting to learn ways to make some extra money online. I have a couple of websites to share with you. You won't become a millionaire with these sites but can do some surveys or read emails to make some extra money. I've talked about having an extra email address for signing up for things like this so that your regular email doesn't get inundated with offers and emails. I use a gmail account that I have set up specifically for freebies, survey sites and other miscellaneous things I sign up for.
The first website is Panda Research. They are a paid survey site that offers between $3 to $75 for every survey and offers completed. Receive coupons, discounts, gifts, rewards and giveaways, targeted to your specific needs based on how you answer the surveys. I used to do tons of surveys with this website and never had an issue getting paid. It is one of the higher paying survey websites and is completely legitimate!

The second website is called Inbox Pays. They give you a $5 bonus just for signing up and then you will receive invitations to take surveys, signup for trials and services, join clubs, sample products, go shopping at branded stores and get paid for it all. Go here to sign up for free and get your $5 bonus!
Also, if you haven't sign up with Swagbucks yet, then I'd highly consider doing so. I paid for almost all of our Christmas last year with the gift cards I earned from them. Go here to read my previous post on Swagbucks or here to get started!
40% off one item at Gap on Wednesday, February 16th!
If you are planning on doing some shopping tomorrow, then head over here to print out a coupon good for 40% off one regular priced item at Gap! This coupon is good in-stores only.
If you are a Gap card holder, then you will receive 45% off - woo hoo I love these deals!
Diapers for only $2.50 per pack!
I know I didn't post any of the Walgreens deals this week since I wasn't feeling well, but I felt that this deal is worth a special post for those of you with little ones in diapers!
Walgreens has their Jumbo pack Walgreens brand diapers on sale this week buy one, get one free. They are regularly $8.99 per pack.
Ask at the pharmacy counter for the "Infant Care" booklet and if they have it, you can snag jumbo packs of diapers for only $2.50 each! Here's how...
Buy any 2 (or in any increment of 2) jumbo packs of diapers = 2 x $8.99 = $17.98
The register will automatically take off the BOGO discount = - $8.99
Give the cashier the $2/1 coupon from the Infant Care book = - $4 - It will automatically deduct for the number of packages you buy, so for this example it will deduct $4 with only 1 coupon
Final Cost = $4.99 for 2 packs of diapers or $2.50 per pack!!
These aren't the small packs of diapers either, the Size 1 had 50 diapers in it! Even if you don't have little ones in diapers, this would be a great item to pick up and drop off at your local shelter or food bank - they can never have enough diapers!

Use code W3U3X4T to get an additional $10 off making it $12.79! If you are a Barnes & Noble member then shipping is FREE, if you are not a member then shipping is $2.98 unless you spend $25 or more. This is a great deal for a Blu-Ray combo pack!
Think ahead, would your little one love this as a gift for an upcoming event? This could also make a fun addition to an Easter basket!
