September Goal Recap

I just realized that I never posted how I ended up on my September goal of only eating out twice. The last week of September I decided to meet some friends for a playdate at Chick-fil-A, so the final tally for September eating out was 2 times!

At the beginning of the month I was overwhelmed thinking about how much cooking I would need to do during the month, but it really didn't end up being so bad. I realized that it takes much more planning on my part, like making sure I have food and snacks when we are out and about to keep up from having to stop because someone is starving!

I'd guess that by only eating out twice, we saved a couple hundred dollars! Those quick stops for food really add up when you are spending $20 here and there.

I'm taking October off from having any financially related goals and will be back at it in November.

How did you do on your goal for September?

GIVEAWAY - A $45 Gift Certificate to CSN Stores!

CSNstores.com was nice enough to contact me about giving away another gift certificate to one lucky reader! This time it is for $45 - think FREE holiday presents! Their sites (200+ of them!) have tons of items available, from kids toys to school supplies to furniture for the whole house.

One lucky winner will win a $45 gift certificate good at any of their websites.

There are three ways to enter this giveaway:

1 - Take a look at their websites and leave a comment on this post about what you'd like to spend your $45 gift card on if you were to be the winner.

2 - Become a follower of my blog and leave a comment saying you did so. If you are already a follower of this blog, you can leave one comment saying you already are.

3 - Spread the word with people about this blog. Tell your friends, family, coworkers - whomever you think would be interested in the information on the blog, to come check the blog out and enter the giveaway. Ask them to leave a note in their comment that they were referred by you and I will add an additional entry for you for each person that does this!

You could potentially have more than three entries to this contest, should you refer more than one person to the blog who enters the contest - it's that easy!

Each entrant can enter the giveaway three ways. Only comments left on this post will qualify as entries. Email is not a valid method of entry. You may or may not want to leave your email address on your comment. If you choose to do so, I will contact you directly if you are chosen. If an email address is not included I will post on the blog the winner's user name.
