My Toys R Us Trip...
I went to Toys R Us yesterday to get in on the Hasbro game deals going on right now that I posted about earlier. They were out of Operation, I was really bummed, but I still got some good stuff...
I got:
Elefun = $12.99 - $5 coupon = $7.99, regularly $19.99
Cooties = $4.99, regularly $9.99
Ants in the Pants = $4.99, regularly $9.99
Pink Hippo Stuffed Elefun Friend = Free for buying any Elefun and friends game, regularly $9.99
Cost = $19.91 including $2 in tax
Got/will get = $5 Hasbro gift card and will get $3 rebate for Elefun and $2 rebate for both Cooties and Ants in the Pants = $12
So my total cost after gift card and rebates, will only be $7.91 for everything! That is an awesome deal.
These sales/deals go through today so you still have time to get in on them. I'd suggest calling ahead to check stock on the items you want to purchase as my store was running low and weren't sure whether they would get more or not. Go here to find your local store.

Tom's of Maine Coupons
Sprouts has some BOGO free coupons for Tom's of Maine Toothpaste. These coupons are manufacturer coupons on a tearpad, so you don't have to use them at Sprouts. They can be found on an endcap at the Sprouts in Westminster off of 120th and Sheridan and I'm sure they are available in other locations as well.
This week Walgreens has the kids Tom's of Maine Toothpaste on sale for $2.99 and you can use the BOGO coupon from Sprouts to get it for $1.50 per tube when you buy 2! That is a great deal on a great toothpaste.

Curious George 2 DVD Deal!
Target has the Curious George 2 DVD on sale this week for $6.99 but in select ones there is also a code to get a $5 Discover gift card in the mail. I purchased this movie several weeks ago for much more than $6.99 and have already received my $5 gift card. Just make sure to look for the movies with the blue and white sticker on the front, those ones have the code to get the $5 gift card.
This would be another great Easter basket stuffer or gift to add to your shopping ahead gift supply. This movie is really cute, my kiddos love it!

Hasbro Game Deals at Toys R Us - Operation for $.99 after rebate!
Toys R Us has a bunch of their Hasbro games on sale this week, through Saturday and you can pair this sale with the printable coupons I posted earlier about. You can go directly to the coupons here. These coupons are seeming to come and go on availability so if you use the link and nothing is there, check back later and they may be back up.
Also, if you spend $20 on Hasbro games in a single transaction, you will get a $5 Gift Card to use on another transaction. They are limiting the gift card to 1 per person per visit, so you won't be able to do multiple transactions at the same time and get the $5 Gift Cards each time, unless you get a really nice cashier! Also the gift cards aren't valid until 6 hours after activation so you cannot use them on another purchase right away!
Here's the deals that go with them...

Chutes & Ladders - No coupon for this one.

Some of these prices are great and don't forget you can shop ahead for birthdays and holidays!
Dulcolax printable is gone...New Scenarios for Walgreens
The $4/1 printable coupon for the Dulcolax that I posted about is no longer available. That means that you will have to redo some of the scenarios that I posted about for Walgreens this week. You can still do Transactions #1-3 the same.
I would modify Transaction #4 to be:
Dulcolax and a cheap filler, like the candy on sale for $.39 this week = $10.39
Use the $2/1 Dulcolax coupon from the 1/24 SS, the in-ad coupon for the candy and the $7 RR from the Simply Saline deal from Transaction #3.
Cost = $1.39, get $10 RR!
Then you can continue on as posted before or however you want!
Walgreens Weekly Deals 3/28 - 4/3
This is one of the best weeks at Walgreens for free deals in a really long time! WOO HOO - can you tell I'm excited? There are lots of free or money making items this week, so I'll be heading to Walgreens a few times I'm sure! There are actually 5 items that are free or better than free this week (not including sales tax). This list is pretty long, but read through it because at the bottom I put together some scenarios for the free stuff this week and you can get a ton of stuff for not much out of pocket!
If you are new to shopping at Walgreens check out my posts here and here to get the lingo and understand how Walgreens shopping works.
Here's the best deals I see...

You could also use the $1/1 (shampoo/condition or style products coupons) from the 3/7 RP! I also know that the smaller sizes are on sale as well, so you may come up with a better scenario buying the smaller products!
Buy $12 of participating Dove products, get $4RR
There are tons of Dove product coupons in the 3/28 Rp and printables here (for the body wash) and here (for deodorant) that can make this a good deal. I don't have any scenarios in mind, but if you come up with a good one, let us know!
Other deals:
12 Pack Coca-Cola Products 5/$13, limit 1 offer per transaction.
Use in-ad coupon to get this price.
Russel Stover Eggs (1.2 oz.) $.39 with in-ad coupon - a good filler this week! Limit 6.
Easter Candy: select Mars, Palmer, Easter Faire, Wonka or Neslte (.92 to 1.75 oz.) $.39 with in-ad coupon - another good filler this week! Limit 6.
Hershey's Candy (1.4 to 2 oz.) $.39 with in-ad coupon - another good filler this week! Limit 6.
I'm going to give a couple of scenarios on how to do these Register Reward deals this week that give you free or better than free items and roll them from one to another with as little money out of pocket as possible. I am assuming you don't have any RRs to start with in these scenarios, if you do, you will need to adjust these and/or add fillers in. Also, remember that in-ad coupons don't count against your coupon count so you don't need filler items when using them, only for manufacturer coupons and register rewards. Also, my numbers don't include sales tax for each transaction, so your actual cost will be higher once you figure in sales tax.
Transaction #1:
Buy Dentek Floss = $2,
Cost = $2, get $2 RR
Transaction #2:
Buy Dove Shampoo or Conditioner and a cheap filler, like the cheap candy with in-store coupon = $4.39
Use $1.50/1 Dove coupon from the 3/28 RP, in-ad coupon for the candy and $2 RR from Dentek deal above.
Cost = $.89, get $4 RR
Transaction #3:
Buy Simply Saline and a cheap filler, like the cheap candy with in-store coupon = $7.39
Use $1/1 Simply Saline coupon from the 1/24 SS, 11/15 SS, or 10/18 SS, use in-ad candy coupon and $4 RR from the Dove deal above.
Cost = $2.39, get $7 RR
Transaction #4:
Buy Dulcolax Balance and Walgreens Multivitamins = $13
Use $4/1 Dulcolax printable here (this printable is no longer available) and $7 RR from Dove deal above.
Cost = $2, get $10 RR for the Dulcolax and $3 RR for the Vitamins.
You could then use the $10 RR to buy any of the above RR items except the Dulcolax again, something like:
Dentek Floss = $2, Dove Shampoo/Conditioner = $4, Simply Saline = $7
Use $1.50/1 Dove coupon and $1/1 Simply Saline coupon and $10 Dulcolax RR
Cost = $.50, get $2 Dentek, $4 Dove and $7 Simply Saline RRs.
If you did all of the above transactions you would have:
2 Dentek Flosses
2 Dove Shampoo or Conditioners
2 Simply Saline Sprays
1 Walgreens Multivitamin
1 Dulcolax Balance
2 fillers (the $.39 candies if you followed my transactions exactly!)
...and would have only spent $7.78 (not including tax) and would still have $16 in RRs to spend on more of these items or whatever else you want! Just make sure you aren't using the RR from the same deal (like using Dove RR to buy more Dove) as it won't print out a new RR.
It isso much fun than spending less money than you now have in RRs and having all the awesome stuff above! I wouldn't do all of the transactions above in the same visit, I try to only do 2 or 3 at a time, so that I am not a huge pain for the cashiers!
If you have questions about any of the above information, let me know - I'll try to answer as soon as possible so you can get to shopping.
There are lots of other deals this week, if you find some good ones, let us know!

My goal in April...
I have to confess, I have been a stockpiling queen lately and because of this my freezer/pantry/stockpiling shelves in the basement are overflowing. My goal for April is to spend $100 or less on food, yes you heard that right only $100. This $100 includes any meals that we go out to eat for, so needless to say I think we'll be eating in a lot!
I have to do this every once in a while because I buy tons of food at rock bottom prices and continue to do so faster than I can use my stockpile up. It is only beneficial to stock up on stuff if it is going to get used. I learned this lesson the hard way when I started couponing and got tons of food and then didn't use it fast enough and had expired food. Don't waste your time, energy or money buying things you won't use or donate.
I think setting goals makes life interesting and challenging. I will keep you posted throughout the month on how this whole thing goes.
Do you have any goals for April? They can be financially related or not. If you are brave enough, leave a comment so others can see what you are shooting for!
