BOGO Shakes at Sonic

Now through June 27th, Sonic is offering BOGO shakes anytime. You don't need a coupon for this deal and you can order 2 shakes at one time and get one free right away or order one and get a coupon to use for your FREE one next time you visit.

They are now using real ice cream in their desserts and this is one of the ways they are celebrating. It kind of scares me to think what they were using in all of these before!

2 inserts in the paper again tomorrow

Looks like we are getting 2 inserts again this weekend. We should be getting a Red Plum and a Smart Source insert. Hopefully some great coupons will show up!

This is a great deal on flowers if you are looking to spruce up your yard. I know that petunias are included and am sure more varieties are as well. Fraudulent Coupons

I feel it important to post again the importance of using coupons that you know are valid and not fraudulent. Right now there is a coupon circulating via email that says you can get bags of Doritos FREE and you can print the coupon as many times as you would like!

Sounds really good, right? It is too good to be true! Someone created a coupon that looks valid and then sent it out. The coupon is in a pdf format, which is the first red flag. I never use or post coupons in pdf format unless their origin can be traced, like when they are hosted on a companies website.

Most companies now use coupon printers, like bricks or other services which only allow you to print one or two copies of the coupon. The fact that you can print as many copies of the Doritos coupon is red flag number 2! Most companies want to limit the number of coupons that can be printed and is the reason they use these coupon printers.

Using coupons that are fraudulent is a huge problem and is an offense that is actually punishable by law. If you have doubts or concerns about a coupons validity, you can search for information on the internet. All I had to do was google the Doritos coupon and many websites came up confirming that is not a valid coupon.

The downside of these coupons is that if a store accepts these coupons, they are now out the money for the product. When this kind of thing happens to stores, they then start not accepting internet printed coupons which hurts all of us trying to use valid coupons in the long run.

The moral of my story is that if you come across a coupon that seems too good to be true, it may be and do a little bit of research before you use it. You can get so many good deals using valid coupons! When in doubt about the validity of a coupon, I do not use it and feel better knowing that I didn't possibly use a fraudulent coupon.

I am off of my soapbox now!

Whole Foods One Day Sale - Tomorrow Only!

Whole Foods is having their weekly one day sale tomorrow (Wednesday, May 19th) and the deal of the day is 60% off Nature's Gate Sunscreen!! It includes Aquablock, Sportblock and Kid's Fragrance Free varieties. They usually retail for $8.99 but tomorrow you can score them for only $3.49 each, for a 4 oz. container.

I am a strong believer in using healthier products, especially on my kids and these sunblocks are rated pretty safe on the skin deep database. The skin deep database is an independent group that tests and rates the safety of many cosmetics products. It is a great website with tons of useful information.

I know where I will be going tomorrow to get stocked up on sunscreen for the summer - this is an AWESOME DEAL!! I've never used this brand before but looked around some websites and the reviews of these products seems to be pretty good.

Athenos Hummus BOGO coupon

Go here to print a BOGO Athenos Hummus coupon. Don't forget to use your back button after it prints to print a second copy. I'm sure this coupon will be gone quickly, so make sure to print it soon if you want it.

Does anyone know what stores have a good price to match up with this great coupon?

(Thanks, Hip2Save!)

Einstein Bros. - BOGO sandwich coupon

Einstein Bros. has another awesome coupon available on Facebook right now. Head over to their Facebook page and "like" them to get access to a BOGO Thin Sandwich coupon under the "offers" tab.

I haven't tried these sandwiches yet, but that picture looks pretty tasty!

Haagen-Dazs - Free Ice Cream Today!

Are you close to a Haagen-Dazs store? If so, stop by today between 4-8 pm for your choice of a free scoop of vanilla, chocolate or coffee ice cream to celebrate their 50th anniversary!

Go here to find your nearest store. This deal comes at a great time with the beautiful weather we had yesterday! And there isn't much better than free ice cream! I'd suggest calling ahead to make sure your store is participating.

Update on my goal for the month...

Since it is more than halfway through the month I figured I should post my progress of only spending $275 on everything besides regularly scheduled bills. Since the beginning of the month, I have spent $12 on the awesome Entertainment book deal, $47.34 on a ton of fresh produce and chicken at Sprouts, $3.48 at Walgreens and $7 at King Soopers. Total spent so far this month $69.82.

I am doing well with my spending but it time to fill up the gas tank and make a trip to Costco to get some things for a picnic lunch at my sons school, so I should be spending a chunk of money this week. Hopefully it isn't too much to throw me off of my goal.

How are you doing on your goals?
