Safeway Weekly Deals 4/14 - 4/20

Safeway has a couple of promotions going on this week. There is a P & G promotion of buy $25 worth of participating products, get a $10 off coupon and also a buy 5, save $5 breakfast promotion.

Breakfast Promotion - The prices I'm showing are assuming you are purchasing in increments of 5, so they already reflect the $5 discount. There is a limit of 20 products or $20 off per transaction.

Use $1.25/3 from the 3/28 RP, you must buy 3 to use this coupon

Nutri-Grain Bars $2
No coupons to use with these.

P & G Promotion - This promotion has some weird small print associated with it..so here's the exact fine print from the ad... "Valid 4/14/10 -4/20/10 with Club Card. Limit one per transaction. Coupon valid on your next shopping trip. Purchases exclude Safeway Store Coupons, Club Card Loaded Coupons, Manufacturer coupons and e-coupons, Sales tax and online purchases, Not all participating products are Future Friendly, look for labeled P&G products."

I'm not sure whether this means your total has to be above $25 after coupons or if purchases made with coupons won't qualify toward the $25 total. I'm kinda at a loss, so I'm not going to put up coupon matchups for this deal, just list the advertised prices on some items - there are many other participating items as well...

  1. I was bummed to read the fine print on the P&G promo. It had the same thing in store...so I decided not to do any deals on it. I don't know how they would code their registers to do that though.

I did however get some cheap cereal (with stackable Safeway coupons) and free oatmeal (stackable Safeway coupon).

Other deals, the Jimmy Dean ready to eat heat and serve sausage, 5 ounce i believe,(in the meat section) is free with a coupon, though the cashier had to make the coupon 99 cents because the register wouldn't accept the overage on that one.

And one other deal. The international delight 32 ounces are on sale for 1.99 with the Wednesday Safeway Ad. There is a coupon for $1/2 which makes them 1.50 apiece. This is good since they are usually priced around 3.49.

Don't forget to check shortcuts and cellfire for load-to-card coupons!

  2. Me again...the Dannon Crush Cups are 2 for $4. There is a coupon in S3/28 I think for $1/1 which makes the final price 1.00! these are regularly priced at 2.50.
